CBN re-introduces Publication of Key Economic Reports

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has re-introduced the publication of sever fcal key economic reports that will aid the transparency and accountability in the nation’s economy.
These reports namely , Purchasing Manager’s Index(PMI), Business Expectations Survey (BES), Inflation Expectations Report, and other macroeconomic indicators are aimed at providing stakeholders with lucid and timely insights into Nigerian economy.
The re-introduction of these reports, the apex bank says, is part of its ongoing data enhancement initiative primed to aid the public, policy makers and business community have access to essential economic indicators.


Specifically, the PMI, which gauges the health of the manufacturing ,services, and agricultural sectors in conjunction with the business of household expectations reports are crucial tools for understanding the national economic climate.
While emphasizing that the reports offer valuable insights into the perceptions and outlook of the households and business sectors respectively, the apex bank said the initiative is part of its broader efforts to enhance transparency, promote informed decision making and support economic growth.
Further more, these reports will be released periodically on the Bank’s website (www.cbn.gov.ng),thereby making them easily accessible to all stakeholders.
The apex bank encourages economists, analysts, investors, media and the general public to use these reports to gain a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the nation’s economic dynamics so as to foster a balanced and more inclusive economic discourse.
