Tinubu Appoints Tajudeen Sooko Chairman, Governing Board of FCAIB

The President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, has appointed Hon. Tajudeen Lawal SOOKO as the Chairman of the Governing Board of the Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan (FCAIB). 

By this appointment President Tinubu mandated Sooko to bring wisdom and in-depth knowledge in decision making in the institution.

 The College Provost, Prof. Jonathan Atungwu on behalf of staff and student, congratulated the Board Chairman and FCAIB stakeholders on this development, emphasing it will positively impact the college’s growth and progress.

Established in 1921 and located at Moor Plantation, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. FCAIB is one of the oldest agricultural institutions in Nigeria and West Africa.

The renowned institution has a rich history, dating back to 1910 when Moor Plantation became the headquarters of the Department of Agriculture. The college was established to train agricultural assistants and has since evolved to offer various programs in agriculture and related fields awarding  National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programs in various fields, including:

 Agricultural Technology Agricultural Bio-Environmental Engineering and  Animal Production Technology . It also offers Crop Production Technology

 and Horticultural Technology among others.

FCAIB is also affiliated with the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), which enables students to access degree programs and other academic resources.
