FiBOP to Host Insurance, AI and Digital Skills Masterclass for SS Students in Lagos State.

The Finance and Business Online Publishers Association (FiBOP) has announced the 3rd edition of its Youth Capacity Building and Empowerment Programme, featuring a specialized masterclass on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Skills for Senior Secondary School students in Lagos State.

The programme, themed “Digital Skills, Artificial Intelligence, Online Safety, Insurance, and Financial Literacy for Nigerian Youth,” will hold on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, (LCCI) Conference Centre, Ikeja

A key highlight of this year’s edition is an intensive masterclass session led by a leading AI specialist. The session is designed to give the students practical, hands-on exposure to how Artificial Intelligence works, its real-world applications, and the career opportunities it presents in Nigeria and globally. The masterclass aims to demystify AI and equip students with foundational knowledge to thrive in a technology-driven economy.

“This initiative is about giving students more than theory and ensuring that we give them the opportunity to interact directly with experts thereby exposing them to those building the future of technology, insurance and finance,” said FiBOP President, Mr. Charles Onwuatogwu.

The seminar will also feature lectures and mentorship sessions on digital skills, online safety, insurance, and financial literacy. Speakers will include industry professionals, policymakers, and government officials, including the Honourable Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Lagos State.

Now in its third year, the FiBOP Youth Capacity Building and Empowerment Programme is part of the association’s mandate to promote digital skills and financial literacy awareness among secondary school students in Lagos State and across Nigeria. The goal is to equip students with practical knowledge and connect them with industry leaders and public sector stakeholders for future mentorship and career guidance.
